Before there was EsteMarie, there were simply two moms, the people we loved, and the celebrations that gave us a reason to create.
Years ago, if someone had told us we'd one day own an event management company together, we probably would have laughed.
At the time, we were simply two moms cheering on our boys from the sidelines of youth football. Sara was the team mom, Hannah was another football mom, and somewhere between practices, game days, organizing snacks, and celebrating every touchdown, a friendship began.
Neither of us could have imagined that those hours spent on the sidelines would eventually lead us here.
As the years passed, our friendship naturally grew into something much deeper. Our families became close, and birthdays, holidays, school events, milestones, and everyday moments became celebrations we shared together.
And through it all, we discovered something else we shared: we loved creating beautiful experiences for the people around us.
Our children were, without question, our very first clients.
They gave us birthdays to plan, milestones to celebrate, themes to dream up, tables to decorate, and countless opportunities to turn ordinary days into lasting memories.
Long before there was an EsteMarie, there were the parties we created for them.
Before long, we had also become the people our friends and families called whenever there was something to celebrate.
What started with children's birthday parties grew into baby showers, bridal showers, graduations, anniversaries, weddings, and family celebrations of every kind.
We designed centerpieces, styled dessert tables, coordinated vendors, rearranged rooms, created timelines, solved last-minute problems, and happily took on all the little details that transformed an ordinary gathering into something memorable.
And somehow, it never really felt like work.
We genuinely loved doing it.
There was something incredibly rewarding about walking into an empty space and imagining what it could become—and then watching it fill with laughter, love, family, and celebration.
Over the years, we heard the same question more times than we could count:
"Have you ever thought about doing this professionally?"
Our answer was always the same.
"Maybe someday."
We just didn't know yet what—or who—would finally turn someday into now.
There are moments in life that seem small when they're happening, only to become incredibly important when you look back.
For us, one of those moments began with Hannah's childhood best friend, Amanda.
Amanda trusted Hannah to design a bridal shower for her stepdaughter simply because she believed Hannah could create something beautiful for someone she loved.
None of us knew at the time that one celebration would become such an important part of our story.
Because without Amanda asking Hannah to design that bridal shower, Hannah may have never met Madison.
Without meeting Madison, we may have never been asked to help with Madison and Ian's wedding.
And that wedding ultimately changed everything.
Madison and Ian Carroll became our very first bride and groom—before EsteMarie officially existed.
They trusted us with one of the biggest days of their lives, and somewhere in the planning, coordinating, problem-solving, organizing, decorating, and watching everything finally come together, we saw what our friends and family had been telling us for years.
We weren't simply helping with events anymore.
This was something we were meant to do.
And somewhere between coordinating their wedding, celebrating a job well done with one too many margaritas, something finally clicked.
After years of saying, "Maybe someday..." someday became now.
Looking back, though, we realize EsteMarie didn't truly begin on the day we chose a name, created a logo, or decided to open a business.
It had been quietly taking shape for years.
It was there on those youth football sidelines where our friendship began.
It was there in the birthday parties and milestones we created for our children.
It was there in the celebrations our friends trusted us with.
It was there in the lessons we learned from our parents, who spent years creating celebrations and memories for us before we ever understood how much work went into making them happen.
It was there in a bridal shower that created an unexpected connection.
And ultimately, it was there in a wedding—and a few margaritas—that finally gave us the push to stop dreaming about someday and begin.
Today, EsteMarie Event Management exists to do exactly what we've always loved doing: helping people celebrate life's most meaningful moments.
Whether we're coordinating a wedding, planning a quinceañera, designing an anniversary celebration, welcoming a new baby, celebrating a graduation, or bringing generations together for a family reunion, we approach every event with the same enthusiasm, care, and attention to detail that we brought to those very first celebrations.
Because to us, celebrations are about so much more than beautiful décor and perfectly timed schedules.
They're about the stories families will tell for years to come.
They're about the hug after the ceremony, the tears during a father-daughter dance, the laughter during heartfelt toasts, the people who traveled just to be there, and the quiet moments in between that somehow become the memories we cherish most.
Those are the moments we work so hard to protect.
Our role extends far beyond planning and coordination. We become your partners, your advocates, your problem-solvers, and your biggest supporters throughout the process.
While we're coordinating vendors, directing guests, adjusting timelines, answering questions, solving problems, and managing the hundreds of details happening quietly behind the scenes, you get to focus on what matters most:
Being fully present with the people you love.
There are people whose fingerprints will forever remain on the beginning of EsteMarie.
To our children—our first clients and the inspiration behind so many of the celebrations that taught us how much we loved doing this.
To our parents—who created celebrations and traditions for us long before we understood the love, time, planning, and work happening behind the scenes.
To our friends and families—who trusted us with your milestones, encouraged us, believed in what we were capable of, and asked us over and over again when we were finally going to do this professionally.
To Amanda—whose simple act of trusting Hannah with a bridal shower created a connection none of us could have predicted.
And to Madison and Ian—our first bride and groom, who trusted us with their wedding before there was an EsteMarie and unknowingly gave us the moment that finally transformed "maybe someday" into "why not now?"
Although EsteMarie carries pieces of both of our names, a piece of its beginning will always belong to all of you.
Every celebration we create from here carries a little bit of what you helped inspire.
Looking back, it's amazing to think that one youth football team brought us together—and that so many people and celebrations helped lead us here.
Looking ahead, we couldn't be more excited to become a small part of the stories still waiting to be celebrated.
Because every celebration deserves to be remembered—not for the stress, but for the joy. And if you trust us with yours, we will never take for granted what it means to be invited into one of life's most meaningful moments.
Our beginning is dedicated to all of you.
With all our love and gratitude,
Hannah Marie & Sara Estefany
